In what cases may it be preferable to wait with breathwork session or change the breathing technique?

Breathing techniques are powerful and generally safe for everyone. In many cases, breathwork sessions are specifically designed to activate our system , while others help us relax our system. Many sessions do both.
In some cases, it is advisable to modify your breathing technique to ensure your safety and even recommend attending relaxing breathwork sessions rather than those designed to activate our system. It may be advisable in some cases to wait to do active breathwork sessions in cases of serious illness or recent surgery.
